My knowledge of cats doesn’t come just from my professional and educational experiences. My husband and I live with three indoor-only cats! They are Chester III, a 12-year-old male, Casper, an 11-year-old male, and Ally, an 11-year-old female.
As vice president and director of the Basic Research Group at Nestlé Purina PetCare, I lead a team of scientists in the fields of nutrition, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology and protein and lipid metabolism. Our mission is to build nutritional knowledge constantly to improve Nestlé Purina PetCare’s products and enhance the health and well being of pets like yours.
I joined Nestlé Purina PetCare in 1990. Since then, I have participated in developing more than 30 new products and product enhancements in premium, super premium, and veterinary product lines. I have also conducted research on feline pediatric nutrition and feline urinary tract health.
I earned my Ph.D. in animal nutrition at the University of Illinois. |

| If you are considering a multiple cat household, the following combinations of cats seem to work best: two kittens, a mature, neutered cat and kitten, or two mature neutered cats (either two females or a male and a female). The most volatile combination seems to be two uncastrated mature male cats. |
